Thanksgiving...

I am still here, I promise!
Baby #2 is keeping me sick through 2nd trimester... so I haven't been up to taking many pictures, or blogging about them!
So, for Thanksgiving we traveled to Charlotte!  My parents had a FULL house!  It was Mom and Dad, then my family: Me, Garet, Colin and Suzi, and Eric's family: Eric, Kailey, Morgan, Macy and Biscuit!  We had a blast!

Colin and I actually developed a cold soon after we got there (which we are both still trying to get over!)  So, even though we still had a great time, we were feeling pretty bad.  On Thanksgiving day, we had a pretty low key morning.

We had the entire family over to my parents house, and had tons of good food!

I did get out in the craziness of Black Friday.  There were a few items I wanted to get as Christmas gifts that I had to get.  It was definitely crazy, and I am NOT a shopper... so I will probably rethink that strategy next year =)  But I did get what I wanted to.  (I also took advantage of "Cyber Monday", which is such a better idea!)

Garet and I got to have a date, which is always sooooo nice!  Colin and Morgan had a good time playing together too!  They are exactly a year apart.  They were so funny together!  Morgan isn't walking yet, but boy she is a fast crawler!  If she wants to get somewhere, she just goes!  And she has sooo much to say!

I love this next picture... look at how they are making the same face =)

We had a great time!  And when we packed up the car to drive back yesterday, it was so nice to get back home in less than 2 hours!

Colin-isms...

Here are some more:

- Colin was helping move clothes from the washing machine to the dryer.  He pulled out a pair of my undies, and said, "Mommy diaper".

- It is so cute to see him repeating things we say... like I tell him often, "I'll be right back" when I go into another room or something.  The other day we were in his room and he wanted to go get more of his cars that were in the living room ("more cars...") so he looked at me and said "be back".
I must tell him to "come on" when I want him to come with me somewhere, Colin has started saying "...mon" for me to follow.  "Mommy 'mon"  =)

- Colin has a car that says something about "Superman..." so randomly now he will say, "Super-Daddy!"  Precious.

- I was changing his diaper and he was clean, so I said something like, "what a clean little booty" - he cracked up so big, and then kept saying "boo-tay!"

- He is learning numbers... right now he says "un, two, eight, two, eight, two, eight, two, eight" ... close.

- I pulled out my phone to take his picture the other day and he said, "no phone Mommy"

- Colin thinks it is hilarious to talk with his hands.  He will just "blah blah blah" and wave his hands all over the place, then crack up laughing.

- At the table when I am finished eating Colin will say "Mommy done" and the same with Garet - "Daddy done"

- He is obsessed with Papaw!  He will point to the chairs at our table and say: "Mommy seat, Daddy seat, Papaw seat" then to the floor "Suzi seat"
When Garet asked him the other day "Colin who's your favorite singer?" Colin said "Mommy Papaw!"
I flipped through the channels and there was a race on, Colin loved it!  "Race cars!"  Then every minute or so he would say "Papaw likes race cars"
I could go on and on about this obession =)  It is really cute

- He doesn't get sweets (it's one of those do as your parents say, not as they do kinda rule), so at the Halloween festival he was throwing a ball into a hole, when the girl running it said, "nice try," and handed him a piece of candy... Colin didn't even hesitate... he threw it in the hole.  What else do you do with candy?!

Football weekend...

Garet and I decided a while back that we wanted to go to a Panther's football game this season.  We looked at when they were playing at home... and when they would be playing the Redskins.  Garet is from DC, so that was his favorite team growing up.  So we figured out they were playing this past weekend, and Garet's sister and her husband said they wanted to come with us!  So... we have been planning this trip for quite awhile!

We decided to keep it simple on Saturday.  I learned how to make homemade cinnamon buns from Garet's mom!

Oh man did the house smell good!!  It took all morning/afternoon for them to finish (we had to mix it, they had to rise, twice, and then cook), but they were sooooo worth it!!

Wow they were good!
There may or may not have been a mishap in the kitchen where one of our pans may or may not have ended up face down on the bottom of the oven..... so we had some smoke in the kitchen for a bit.  Therefore we opened all the windows and doors... and we put Suzi in the basement.  When we looked over we saw her tail poking out =)

So funny!
It was FREEZING on Saturday... it made me really worried about the game the next day!  Garet and Colin braved the cold and met one of Garet's friends at a park down the street.  Matt is one of Garet's oldest friends!  They didn't last too long (thank goodness!  it was waaayy too cold!), then we headed to Garet's sisters for dinner.

On Sunday, we got geared up.  We were a house divided.

We drove over to G's sisters and left all the kids (she has 3) with the grandparents and off we went!  While there we got picture updates from Grandma Kay... this one was so funny to me!

The boys playing on their games =)
We were all bundled up and it was cold, but not too bad.  The sun was out so it made it manageable!  I was actually very nervous to wear Panther's attire... I didn't want people to pick on me.  But once we got there, there were actually a LOT of Panther's fans!  I fit right in =)

We arrived a couple hours early so we could tail gate.  Pete was very prepared: grill, burgers, chips, drinks, table, tablecloth, condiments, chairs, football.....  Oh we were set to go!

When we finally got in the stadium, we sat just in time for kickoff!  And here is a view from our seats.

We were actually under an overhang, so we were in the shade, and it was really cold!  So after halftime, we hiked (and I mean HIKED) up to the upper level to find some seats in the sun!

The Panther's did SO GOOD!  We WON!  I was sooo excited!  Everytime they would make a play I would jump up, then realize I was the only one standing =)  I really wished Garet was cheering with me!

It was awesome!  I missed my nap that day (I am still so super tired) and since it was Daylight Savings... Colin woke up super early that day (3:45) at G got up with him.  So we were both exhaused and were in bed before 8 that night!

We headed back home on Monday, but first made a stop to see Garet's dad!

It was a great trip!
