Camp...

This past weekend, Garet was in charge of camp.  (He works with the Boy Scouts and has campouts over the weekends that he has to go to).  This time, our whole family went!   We got to stay in a cabin - good thing because it got down to 20 degrees!!  The first night, after the kids were asleep, we hung out by the fire.

There wasn't any wifi or t.v. *gasp*  So, we had to talk and stuff like that.  I know, crazy, right?!
The next morning, like I said it was like 20 degrees, so there was fog over the lake.  This was our view out the window...

Those black things on the water were geese.  Colin loved seeing the "steam" everywhere.
This cabin we were in is for scouts.  So there were bunk beds.  We haven't encountered bunk beds before... here is Colin asking so sweetly, "Mommy, can I get up here?"

And here he is yelling, "Get. Me. Down!"

haha
We walked around camp, and Colin got to do this treasure chest toss.  The camp was a pirate theme, so there were kids dressed as pirates and fun activities.

Addison and I were there too.
By the way, I took my nice camera, but only took pictures with my iPhone.  Go figure.  So I did not realize how bright the sun was behind us.  But here we are anyway:

We walked down to the lake, which was so pretty!

And Colin threw rocks in.  The first thing he said when he saw the lake was, "I sure hope there are rocks to throw in there."  Precious.

Before nap we turned on Chuggington.  I thought this picture was funny of the two of them.

Then, while Colin napped, I got some special time with my girls.  Well, Suzi slept.  Addison and I played =)

After nap, we hung out at the camp office while Garet did some work.  We took Colin's Jeep, so while G looked after Addison, Colin and I had fun outside.

Then, Colin decided he wanted to run around camp.  This is a HUGE camp.  And Colin ran the whole way around it!  I couldn't believe he didn't slow down!  I actually had to jog a few times to keep up!  There he goes...

The next day we were about to load up to head back to the office... all the scouts were leaving that morning.  We got this picture while Addison slept =)

Once Garet got everyone checked out, we hung around waiting for his sister and her family to get there.  I walked with the kids over to the tee pees while G finished up in the office.

The weather was so perfect!  I still tried to bundle Addison because she started getting a cold (which got worse after this day!  Poor baby.)  Love my kids!

Once Garet's sister got here with her family, we showed them around.  Then all went back to our place to eat some lunch.  It was nice visiting with family!  After lunch, we all headed out to hike to the pirate ship!

Of course, Colin brought his wagon.
Here are the guys looking out over the front of the ship.

This is almost all of our crew hiking...

This is the view from where we were hiking.  Can you see the house?  That was where we stayed.

It was a lot of fun!  It is too bad that Garet works on weekends, but I love that we are able to do this with him sometimes!  Colin LOVES being out and about with his dad!  And it is amazing that we could stay at this camp.  It is beautiful there!  It is fun to see what Garet does while we are there too.  And it's neat to visit with the scouts.  We had lunch with one of the troops (or packs?  or dens?  Garet?  what is it again???), it is awesome that they really do everything over the open fire.  We had chili, and they had coffee (which was kept hot by the fire)  So neat.

Photo shoot...

After Colin went to school this morning, Addison and I went on a walk with a neighbor, then came back and had a little picture fun =)

I put a bow in her hair on her head and everything!  And I know I'm biased, but she is just the cutest thing!

Suzi wanted in on the action too.

Aside from Colin, Suzi gets some of the biggest smiles from Addison.
I love that I have a little girl!

Here...

Couldn't think of a title...
So, lately we've been around here.  At the house.  We've been jumping around...

And playing outside...

Colin would throw his ball down the slide, then slide down after it.  Then sometimes let out a big yell...

 =)
Poor Suzi.  She just doesn't know quite what to do with a three year old.  She tends to sit off to the side as Colin is running around like a crazy boy.  If he grabs her ball she will chase him, but she mostly just watches.

We've been racing...

We had Papaw come visit for the weekend!  And when Garet got home (he was gone all weekend) he got a fire going after dinner so we could make s'mores!

It was a hit!  And Colin did great.  Papaw lost a marshmellow to the fire - which Colin thought was real funny.

Colin ended up pulling the chocolate bar out of the s'more and eating it separate.
Yesterday, when Garet got home from work, we got out our rakes and made a few leaf piles.

Colin had a blast!  He promptly destroyed the piles of leaves!  Which, after all, is the point of the piles =)

Here is an action shot:

And yes, this precious angel joined us outside...

she loves being outside.  And loves watching her big brother!

Halloween weekend...

Halloween isn't for a couple more weeks, but we had two parties to go to this weekend!
The first one was Friday and it was a "Toddler Halloween Party"!  My friend Melanie threw it, and we had a blast!  Here we are getting ready to go!

Our little horse

And our little fireman

(I told him to smile, but he was ready to run out the door!)
Here is a few of the kids playing in the corn

And we took a little break to eat a snack

In the sandbox

And we managed to get almost all of them lined up for a picture!

Here I am with Katie and Danielle - love these girls!

Before we left, some of the girls had to come and tell Addison "bye"  =)

On Saturday, we had our friends Stephanie and Colin over with their kids.  One of our neighbors throws an big annual Halloween party... so we headed over there after dinner.

Their kids (Erik and Abby) wore costumes from Monsters Inc.  Here is Colin and Abby trying to hold hands:

Garet and I got costumes from his sister...

We were the "slow" signs for children playing.  See:

Crazy.
We were in the process of painting our living room too...

We had lots of fun!  Now we have another 2 weeks before we dress up again =)

5 months...

I am keeping track of all the updates on Addison at the top of the blog... it is an easy way for me to click and look back on what was going on.

Grandma Kay (Garet's mom) made this blanket for Addison.  We LOVE it!

Addison is:
- eating baby oatmeal twice a day, and just started eating "real" food.  Green beans.  And she will eat them, but she shudders every once in awhile =)
- Nursing every three to four hours during the day.
- Sleeps between 6 - 9 hours at night in her crib.
- Loves being able to sit up and see the world, she plays in her bouncer a lot because of this!
- talking.  Not lots, but she will get going and just babble, it is really cute.

- Weighs 13 lbs and is still in 3-6 month clothes.  She actually fits best in the 3 month pants, but they are starting to get a bit short.
- shaking everything that gets in her hands.  Like at warp speed.
- likes her baths, but is still very calm in the bathtub (unlike Colin the kicker).
- loves Suzi - she smiles so big when Suzi comes in the room.
- Loves her big brother!  Colin makes her laugh all the time!

(Colin wanted in the pictures too... then I got them both making this face!)

I can't believe Addison is already 5 months!  What a blessing!  I love that we have a little girl =)  She totally completes our family.  Her little personality is coming out.  She is so so so happy - BUT when she gets hungry or tired, watch it.  The girl has a pair of lungs for sure!
