Garet had to work Memorial weekend. He had to be out at one of his camps... so we joined him!
We had a lot of fun! Colin was super pumped about it! We brought a few things to keep the kids happy... here is Addison trying to get Colin's basketball...
There was a lake there that we went to see the first day we got there...
There were boy scouts that were training, so for all of our meals, we joined the scouts. Colin was very impressed! Saturday morning we took a little stroll around the camp...
Here is Colin running ahead...
There was a basketball court and a HUGE rock pile! Colin liked to slide down it and make "steam"... just like cars make =)
Addison liked to play in the rocks too...
We brought the wagon (seriously the best toy EVER!) and Addison helped Colin fill it with rocks...
We also brought the motorcycle, which I think Colin has outgrown, but it looks like Addison may be interested in it now...
It was fun to just hang out outside. We had great weather!
On one of our little walks we found a huge water thing...
There was also a big stage. Colin got down at the front and yelled, "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! START YOUR ENGINES!" Precious.
We enjoyed snack on the go...
Colin decorated these race car things...
Then he helped Garet race them!
We just finished our lunch when the scouts came in to eat... they were together praying and Colin whispered, "Can I go over there?" I said sure, then snapped this picture of him slowly walking back. =) He gets so so shy!
That afternoon we went back down to the lake. The boys got in the canoe and I laid on a towel for a bit while Addison ate her snack. This was my view:
Here are the boys headed back from their boat ride:
We were the only ones on this lake... it was murky... we saw a turtle... I'm sure there were snakes somewhere. They must have been hiding real well. Colin was SO excited to swim in the lake... so Garet pretended that it was a pool and they got in...
They had a great time =)
That night after dinner we played with balloons...
These were given to Colin (Thanks Grandma Kay!) and he loves them! You blow them up and let them fly! He chases them all around... it is hilarious!
The next morning Garet had a couple things to do, so I stayed packing everything up. Thank goodness for the Cars dvd and our laptop! (there wasn't t.v.) Colin was occupied and I got everything together for us to be on the road by 10!
Neither of the kids slept that great there... so on the way home they both took little naps =)
We had a great time!
