Camp...

Garet had to work Memorial weekend.  He had to be out at one of his camps... so we joined him!

We had a lot of fun!  Colin was super pumped about it!  We brought a few things to keep the kids happy... here is Addison trying to get Colin's basketball...

There was a lake there that we went to see the first day we got there...

There were boy scouts that were training, so for all of our meals, we joined the scouts.  Colin was very impressed!  Saturday morning we took a little stroll around the camp...

Here is Colin running ahead...

There was a basketball court and a HUGE rock pile!  Colin liked to slide down it and make "steam"... just like cars make =)

Addison liked to play in the rocks too...

We brought the wagon (seriously the best toy EVER!) and Addison helped Colin fill it with rocks...

We also brought the motorcycle, which I think Colin has outgrown, but it looks like Addison may be interested in it now...

It was fun to just hang out outside.  We had great weather!

On one of our little walks we found a huge water thing...

There was also a big stage.  Colin got down at the front and yelled, "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! START YOUR ENGINES!"  Precious.

We enjoyed snack on the go...

Colin decorated these race car things...

Then he helped Garet race them!

We just finished our lunch when the scouts came in to eat... they were together praying and Colin whispered, "Can I go over there?"  I said sure, then snapped this picture of him slowly walking back. =)  He gets so so shy!

That afternoon we went back down to the lake.  The boys got in the canoe and I laid on a towel for a bit while Addison ate her snack.  This was my view:

Here are the boys headed back from their boat ride:

We were the only ones on this lake... it was murky... we saw a turtle... I'm sure there were snakes somewhere.  They must have been hiding real well.  Colin was SO excited to swim in the lake... so Garet pretended that it was a pool and they got in...

They had a great time =)

That night after dinner we played with balloons...

These were given to Colin (Thanks Grandma Kay!) and he loves them!  You blow them up and let them fly!  He chases them all around... it is hilarious!

The next morning Garet had a couple things to do, so I stayed packing everything up.  Thank goodness for the Cars dvd and our laptop!  (there wasn't t.v.)  Colin was occupied and I got everything together for us to be on the road by 10!

Neither of the kids slept that great there... so on the way home they both took little naps =)

We had a great time!

Catch up...

Okay, so life has gotten even more busy... I am going to play catch up here on the blog...
Towards the end of April we went to the NC Transportation Museum - and had a BLAST!

I mean, when you have a child that loves trains like Colin does, this is an awesome place to visit!  There were trains everywhere!

(see him covering his ears)
AND we got to ride a train!  See the happiness on that face?!

We all had a lot of fun!

We got to go to a neighbors house and have a pool party =)

Addison discovered that not only can she climb up on the rocker, but she can rock while she's up there.  Geez.

One of Garet's sisters came to visit at the beginning of this month.  We took her to City Lake Park and we got to ride (another) train.

We all went out to dinner...

And the next day two more of Garet's sisters came with their families and we went to a baseball game!  we got a group shot before we left.  (Except Colin, he was actually running a fever that morning... so he was taking a nap)

At the game...

After the game was over, they let the kids come run the bases...

Colin showing off his bike riding skills =)

This was us on Mother's Day...

It was a perfect day!  I got to spend it with my family =)

She's one...

We had so much fun celebrating our precious baby girl!
We woke up and gave her our gifts that morning...  she had a big helper opening everything!

(the only paper I had was baby shower paper.  Just disregard that...)
And we gave her birthday hugs and kisses...

Then we got ready for people to come over... we had a little party with some of our friends and family here.  This picture was taken right after I got her dressed, with a bow in her hair.  In the picture it's in her hands.  That's because it lasted approximately 10 seconds...

Addison is such a blessing!  She is so sweet and cuddly!  She fits right into our little family and we couldn't be more thankful for this amazing child!

We had some fun outside with the bubbles while we got the food ready...

We had lunch and then cupcakes and ice cream!  Addison loved having everyone sing... and it took her a bit to get into it, but you can see that she loved her cupcake!

Somehow the kids took over the dining room...

I think Colin really opened all of Addison's gifts.  I tried to let her be a part of it, but wow Colin was fast =)  Addison did love her gifts though!

Here is one of our only family shots that day...

And then Addison went down for her nap while we had some fun outside.

I can't believe how fast a year went by!  We are so so in love with our little girl!  I just can't believe the love I have for her!
Addison is 17% height and 27% weight (oh, and 91% head!), she is wearing 12 month clothes and size 3 shoes, she loves her brother so much!  She copies nearly everything he does!  She is a climber and loves to cuddle!  She started walking on her birthday... she isn't totally confident, so she still holds things and crawls most of the time, but when she wants to she turns around and just walks clear across the room!
