Snow days...

Last week we had snow.  Lots of snow.
I am definitely NOT a cold weather girl.  I like the first day of Fall... oh the crisp cool air.  But after that, I want the warm weather.  It makes it a little bit better that I now have kids, and Colin was SUPER excited about the snow!  When it started coming down last week it only took about an hour and everything was covered!  I will admit, I was excited to go outside and play with Colin when he got up from his quiet time.

I couldn't believe how much and how fast it was coming down!  Colin loved it!

AND Suzi really loved it!  She turned into a puppy again!  She was flying around the yard with this poor beat up ball!  =)

Colin even tried to make a snow angel!  It was precious.  haha

The snow was so fluffy... it was like powder, so it wouldn't stick together for a snowman.

*side note - Colin likes to play Hide and Seek.  When he "hides" he will either run out before I am even done counting, or I will say "Ready or not, here I come!.... Where are you Colin?"  and he will answer, "Right here behind the door!"  or something like that =)  We came in from the snow and played, and he found a new hiding spot!  See if you can find him...

I didn't take Addison out that first day... it was just too cold and the snow was coming down so big.  The next afternoon it had finally stopped.  So I bundled her up, and out we went.

(She was in a 2T snow suit!  haha!  That's why you can't see her feet)
She loved it.  But she couldn't move.  So, she didn't last too long.  We did all walk around the house to explore everything!

When we got back to the backyard, we did try to make a snowman.  The snow was mixed with ice, so it was a little difficult.

I ended up with a baby snowman, which Colin was patting on the head in this picture...

... and G was pretended to throw a snowball!

I went in with Addison and watched the boys from the window.  Garet made the snowman bigger and as soon as I got the camera out to take a picture Colin jumped on top.  I captured it:

We still have a bit of snow on the ground... but it is supposed to be in the 70's here this week!  Woohoo!  So hopefully it will all melt!  Until then, Colin has had a blast putting on his boots and going puddle stomping in the yard...

=)
