(I have started keeping these all together on a page at the top of this blog. It makes it easier for me to click back and see what Colin was up to. These are mainly so I don't forget any of these precious moments...)
It has been awhile since I've done this... honestly almost everything that comes out of Colin's mouth I want to write down or record and have forever! He is such a funny kid! And he is growing up so much, so fast! He gets so serious when he talks to us sometimes - I love him so much!
These pictures are just random ones that I have taken over the month...
Probably the last time he took out all his cars at once.
Colin's favorite (this was told to me by him):
Food - Pizza
Drink - Milk and water
Dessert - Cupcakes
Thing to do - play trains
Animal - Lizard
What does he want to be when he grows up? A fireman
Splashing in the mud. Can you see the splash?!
I was exercising and Colin asked me, "What kind of exercising is that??" I said, "burpees" and he said, "Burpees?? That stinks!" Guess it does sound like "burp"
"Addison, you have the biggest tummy I've ever seen!"
Poor sweet girl =)
A few weeks ago I wasn't feeling too good after dinner. I went upstairs to my room and a few minutes later, I heard Colin coming up. He pushed me by the leg and told me to get into bed. Then he moved my phone to the dresser... tried to pull up the covers over me. He told me to cut off the light, then he kissed my hand and went to leave. Before he closed the door behind him he said, "feel better mommy. Sleep good. I love you." sweet boy.
At dinner one night, Colin was dragging his fork on the table. Garet told him to stop.
The next night, Garet wasn't home for dinner, but I dropped something on the table... Colin said, "Be careful Mommy. Daddy loves this table soooooooooo much!"
Racing his cars down the ramp.
Garet and Colin were hanging out:
Colin "I am pooping"
Garet "We don't talk like that bud."
Colin "No, Daddy... it means that you are tired."
...... I am pooped.... =)
He has started randomly saying, "I have a question..." or "I have to tell you a story" or "What should we do today?"
Playing in the yard with Suzi.
We say our prayers before bed every night... the other night when I was putting Colin to bed and we started saying prayers, he said "I said prayers at my nap time today" Love that!
This kid has my heart! He has some times where he really knows how to push my buttons, but we are figuring out how to work through that. Colin is very sensitive and loving. He is so good with Addison! If he hears her crying and he is in another room, he will run to her yelling, "Super Colin to the rescue!" =) If I have to do something he will tell me, "Leave Addison here with me, I will take care of her". I do watch them carefully though because he has started trying to pick her up and move her, and sometimes it will knock her off balance and she will fall. I keep telling Colin to stop growing up... to which he replies, "I AM growing up Mom!" And he is. I am so proud of him!
